Troubleshooting installation
The most common issue is Android's "Unknown Sources" security gate. When you first download our APK, Android blocks installation by default. This does not bypass sio's security — it only tells Android to allow APK files from sources outside the Play Store. If you see a certificate-trust warning, this is normal for non-Play-Store apps; our APK carries the same encryption as Play Store versions. On iOS, if the web app does not appear on your home screen after adding a bookmark, try using Safari's "Add to Home Screen" feature instead of another browser. If downloads stall, check your device storage — we need at least 50 MB free — and restart your browser or app store.
Data, permissions, and security
When you install our sio app, we request permission to access your device's internet connection, storage (to cache game data and receipts), camera (for identity verification uploads), and optionally your phone contacts (if you choose to recover your account using a recovery email).
